Gig Review: Chris Cornell’s Solo Acoustic Tour

Snapshot 2

When I heard that Chris Cornell was coming to town, I knew I had to be at the show. Obviously I wasn’t alone in this thought as the Isaac Theatre Royal was completely sold out, and a second show added to the tour!

This weekend Cantabrians of all ages, piled into the Isaac Theatre Royal, which has been recently restored after the Canterbury earthquakes which left the building broken and waterlogged, for his Solo Acoustic Tour and were not disappointed. If you’ve ever heard that soulful voice, you’ll know why. Not only that, but he is an incredibly talented musician, and all-around nice guy. He charmed us with his humour, and sang to our souls.

There was a good mixture old material, including songs from Soundgarden and Audioslave, and new material from his recently released solo album Higher Truth. To get a taste of the show click here.

Later Rockstars,
